New Life Children’s Home (NLCH) in Villa Nueva, Guatemala is invariably described by visitors as “a very special place.” It’s a place of special children, rescued from abuse, abandonment or abject poverty from some of Guatemala’s worst slums. At NLCH each child receives 24-hour-a-day loving care, a Christian education and Christian discipleship. Here they experience, for the first time in their lives, the love and joy of Jesus Christ.

NLCH was established in 1976 by New Life Advance International, an international mission agency based in Houston, Texas.

The dedicated staff of NLCH purpose to introduce each child to Jesus Christ, nurturing him/her in a personal relationship with Christ, and providing him/her with an academically sound Christian education. When a young man or woman leaves NLCH, our prayer is that he/she will be prepared to live godly lives as responsible husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, raising a new generation to serve God in whatever he’s called them to do.

NLCH seeks to provide a family atmosphere. “Home” speaks of family. Family is not something that can be taught as much as modeled. It is one of those values that NLCH holds dear.
